Burj Al Arab, UAE

Burj Al Arab, the world's only 7-star hotel, was on my bucket list for awhile.  I had been wanting to check out the amazing architecture in Dubai, and had finally saved enough Red Tag points from the office to offset most of the $2k/night cost of the multi-level suite fit for a dictator or tyrant.  And for our 5th wedding anniversary, in 2013, on the way to the Maldives...

We switched the next night to the Sheraton, which was much more our speed.  Still a fun experience, though! My favorite mall in Dubai was the Ibn Battuta mall, which was part museum about the explorer.  The 110 degree heat was like a hair dryer blast to the face every time we left the hotel.
