50th Birthday Celebration @ Resorts World Las Vegas
We made it! Although the COVID pandemic (plus Delta and Omicron variants) put me behind schedule for 50 adventures since the start of this website, my birthday celebration on December 29th, 2021 in Las Vegas was joyous and unforgettable. Per my overtime extension, I now I have 5 more years for 20 more adventures (or 19 not counting Vegas).
Norman was in Vegas to prepare for the CES show and drove with Bouramey, Cameron and Ryan. Van and Joe flew from LA on the morning of December 29th, as did me and Mike. Melisa arrived from Albuquerque and Shirley drove from Irvine. Doko arrived in the evening, and Dan, Nikki and Effie from New York. The Omicron variant had caused a lot of flights to be cancelled, so I’m glad we all made it. We had a private room for dinner at FUHU and also ate at the Famous Foods Street market, Genting Palace Lounge, Suns Out Buns Out, Alle 66 Lounge, Kitty Kitty Vice Den and the Zouk Nightclub to see Tiesto (even though there was a long line at 11pm and nobody thought I’d stay up that late). The $125 VIP entrance fee was well worth it to be able to feel 29 again! Tik and Kleinkemper sent a box with chocolate covered strawberries and prosecco to the room. And Resorts World did such an amazing job on Mike’s surprise SpaceX dragon cake and my chocolate one. I felt very lucky and happy at 50 to have such amazing family, friends and Mike.
