The Road to Retirement
Looking Ahead! Some of my friends are thinking seriously about retirement, and it never hurts to plan ahead. AARP sends invitation letters at 50 years old, and 55 and 60 are ages of full healthcare benefits and stock vesting at Coca-Cola. Recently, my deal friend Allison Goldberg and I took a trip to Palm Springs to look at real estate. I’ve been lobbying for her to move to California ever since I moved here. It fits her vegetarian, wellness, woo-woo and interior design aesthetic like no other. Still, it’s hard to leave the East Coast if you’ve lived there all your life. And how much money does it take to not work for the rest of your life?
