Wanderful…

During the pandemic, I joined an online community of female travelers from all over the world, and attended Zoom calls on vaccinations in Africa, meditation, how to self-publish a book, and creating revenue via rental properties.

But the best part was when the local Los Angeles local group resumed meeting in person. Organized by Nailah Hayward, we met up in various roof top bars and lounges throughout the city. I was so impressed by this younger generation of women who aren’t waiting on traditional corporate jobs to travel, instead they are creating their own opportunities to work and live abroad. It’s been fun meeting people so different than me - like Akemi who goes car camping and hiking by herself, Her IG stories are so inspiring to watch. These women have travelled to Colombia, Estonia, Morocco and other places that bring back fond memories for me.

This group is age, race and experience diverse - reflecting the true diaspora of Los Angeles - and I am here for it!
